With the 4stripe DRGW PA announced last month..............I'm still happy as heck :)

Did I ever mention that I LOVE Kato ;D  It's great to live and model "west" of that river :D
A "western modeler" that also runs NS.

I've got 2 green and 1 tuscan 5 stripe already.  Why are they tempting me?  I think they will everntually do all the paint jobs done on the GG1.  Must be a big seller since they have put out so many different ones in a somewht short time - at least for Kato.  Here's how I remember them:

Now if they only did a Senator or Congressional trainset  to go with their Tuscan Red G1.

Hummmmm...What year did Gunderson start production of the Maxi-IV?

Unfortunately, 1999. You and I are left with Maxi-IIIs and Husky-stacks. Now, if we play along with my Conrail got the Cotton Belt but had to give two lines into NYC area, one each to CSX and NS, and still existed today, we could get these and some CR GEVOs. Hmmmm ...

The CSX cars may not be foobs at all:

http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1188542
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1368697

Bear in mind they turned black/brown, but are aluminum cars.

Car and model are both 14 panel.  However, in the second shot they look shorter than your normal Coal Porter....  I don't know - expert opinion needed here!

It's just not in the budget, but MAN I've been wanting a wide-stripe GG1.  I think I like them better than the 5-stripe.  I know, sacrilege...

I know it's a big ZZZ for most of you, but I'm happy with green EMP cans.

I hope at least one of the GEVO crew do an ES44DC...

I'd like to see a side-by-side of the III and IVs. If it's not too noticeable (i.e., it's small enough that in N-scale who will know), I might do the same,

ES44DC's are coming, not from Kato though.....A snip from the FVM E-mail that just arrived.

We are also adding a new model, the ES44DC. The DC versions has a different
body, sill and walkway than the AC's, and will use all three cab variants. This
month  we will start with BNSF's new image and NS.

MSRP is $119.95 and reservations are requested by Dec 31, 2009. The models are:

70300  Und, ES44DC, 4 Win Cab, Low Rear Light, Hi-Ad Trucks
70301  BNSF #7505
70302  BNSF #7632
70303  BNSF #7768

70360  Und, ES44DC, 3 Win Cab, Low Rear Light, Hi-Ad Trucks
70361  NS #7504
70362  NS #7621
70363  NS #7710
