So, I ordered a couple UNDEC GP18's.. since they're on sale and all.

I get the package and open it up.. and wtf, no handrails.. sheesh.

So I call Walthers support.  As I'm giving him the model #'s etc.. I open up the paperwork underneath the engine.. and there are the handrails.. LOL

Great support Walthers.. I just called, and the handrails appeared   ;D ::)

Well, that's refreshing... Wasn't Lifelike one of the ones guilty of selling Undec models that were glued together?

A step in the right direction.

So, do you need some Laurel Valley Decals?

Walthers never ceases to confuse me..............
I have had a similar expereince - a Walthers Cornerstone double track truss bridge kit I bought was warped; I contacted them for a new part and the entire kit showed up via UPS to Canada withing four days, gratis......outstanding service.

Then there's the other side......you try and contact them about product development and/or ideas and suggestions and you might as well talk to a govenment agency.........

It's like there are two different operating philosophies at work there.............

You guys are doing great!

Last time I dealt with them was to order some spare parts for my NKP berk, and when I opened the package the parts were there alright ... obviously USED parts. ::)

Premium price too.

Yeah, they are a bit confusing. I once had a lightbulb explode (a GE lightbulb over an enginehouse full of EMDs, wonder if GE is smarter than we think :-X) and I called about replacing the stacks on the engine house. New ones no charge.

Engine and rolling stock parts are another story.... Busted axles, have to buy; replacement motor, have to buy. That is, as long as they keep parts up.

BN? I though Laurel Valley was Green and Yellow. Burlington Northern is the only road with Green and Black engines AFAIK.

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.
