Bob,

With the extent of prototypes you choose to offer and the speed with which you bring product to market, and the amazing quality, you need to win some sort of award. Though, I imagine, the admiration of your fellow modelers delivered via US currency would make you just as happy.
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Containerized carriers.

Mechanism up top and on the side released a door at the bottom of the container allowing the contents to flow out the bottom grating.

What happens with the end containers over the trucks? They have no grating under them.

I don't know David. Maybe a SPF can supply that info.

Bryan, thanks for the kind words. Sorry to hear about the job. I hope things get better for you soon.

At some point, Bob is going to have to slow down, or everything ends up being a limited run .. unless that's what he wants

I have researched this and I believe I have found the answer. The containers themselves have drop-bottom mechanisms, actuated either by lift rings on the top (DB-4 container), or by levers on the side (HB-1 container). But they are not dumped into the gondola; they are lifted out of the gon via crane, and the contents are dumped where the material is needed. The grates in the bottom of the gon allow excess dry materials to fall out of the gon. The DB-4 containers also have holes along the bottom edges to do the same. The most common load is dry cement.

Now here is the UP Bulldozer Wreck Flatcar minus the laser-cut wood deck which has not arrived yet. Talk about ride height, this one is only 1/16 above the rails! Another one in the basket guys...

Awesome cars Bob  :)

Just curious, any update on the Walong signal bridge?

Here is my latest HO signal bridge. A cantilevered signal bridge for Sante Fe and Southern Pacific.  ....  Next signal coming out is the Walong.

I was waiting for these to model this... and low and behold it's actually a different car!  Guess I'll have to do it in B&O afterall.
