Ed, who says you can't order ballast from somewhere else and have it shipped to your CR in those Ortners!  Might make an interesting train . . . .

Oh man, another one got me and Ed confused, I know, all us Conrail guys look alike.  ;D

It's not receiving shipments, it's a quarry on the Harrisburg line that produced shipments, so CR ortners are kinda a must for me ...

Don't forget the Conrail ballast supply at Westfield, MA on the B&A that sent out unit trains of CR ballast.

And I will be definitely picking up a car this month, the Massachusetts Call/Volunteer Firefighters Association tank car, which is based with the remainder of its train in West Springfield, MA yard.

Ian.

What cars to they have?  I shot these a couple years ago on a Southbound CSX train at Alexandria, Va and swear that's what these cars had on their letterboards.

Ian.

What cars to they have?

They have a tank car, a boxcar, a caboose, and then several different types of passenger cars, I think 3-4 horizon cars, 2 fluted side cars, a heavyweight and a bi level car. All lettered MCVX. There is also a B23-7 that has MCVX on the cab sides that tags along as well.
