The Nickel Plate car is of mild interest... Any thoughts as to accuracy?  Joe, what's the build date you used?

The build date (assumed) is listed in the link above (NSS lists the MT "blurbs")

That Dow chemical car would be an interesting addition to my tank car fleet.

Ed, who says you can't order ballast from somewhere else and have it shipped to your CR in those Ortners!  Might make an interesting train . . . .

Lee

Here's the car they must have used.

Build date of '12-63'.

I've quit expressing my thoughts about accuracy, but it'd be nice if someone would offer that GATC car.

I think that is an attemp at a hazardous materials training car so it wouldn't really be used in a fleet.  ;)

Oh man, another one got me and Ed confused, I know, all us Conrail guys look alike.  ;D

It's not receiving shipments, it's a quarry on the Harrisburg line that produced shipments, so CR ortners are kinda a must for me ...

Or purchased in multiples.

I really don't understand this strategy, but it seems to work.

Hey Joe, any chance of doing a runner pack of the 100-ton 3-bay coal hoppers for us more modern guys?  Preferably an eastern road (PRR, N&W, C&O, Chessie) since Joint Line N-Scale has already done special run 4-packs of the western roads (UP, BN, D&RGW & ATSF).

You can never have too many coal hoppers...

Since we're on the topic of hoppers...

You need to go back to the drawing board, Joe, and fix this...

So it looks like this...

Your car isn't too far off from the earlier classes of 2 bay WM hoppers (not fishbellies) so there are plenty of road numbers you could use that would be a lot better.  (The number you released should be on a Fishbelly car)

But you need to get the placement and size of the lettering right, too.  The car you produced, aside from being the wrong color (too brown) looks like you copied the lettering from an Atlas 90 ton car, which is also wrong.

And if you could re-tool it just a little so those ribs are channels instead of full ribs, I'd be in for a few (or more!)

Remember, hoppers are like potato chips, You can't just have one!

BTW Joe, thanks for the C&O boxcar runner packs a couple of months back. We ordered about 25 of those babies. A 100 ton runner pack in C&O would also get a similar order.

So you've added PRR, N&W, C&O, & Chessie to the list?  ???

If you do N&W please run the artwork by someone N&Wie.
