I have but every time I do so the room gets fogged up, my eyes water and the print runs off the pages so I never get a chance to read anything. But hey, I end up with this great looking weathering effect on all the pictures I look at!! Cheesy

Congrats Lee on the magazine article. After seeing your layout on the forums then seeing in a magazine I can appreciate your  craftsmanship that much more.
BTW , I wish I lived by Kleins.......wait a minute, I'd be broke all the time.    Have a nice lunch guys.

Yes, it was a very good experience.  In the future, though, I'll be sending them a pdf of a proposed page layout, and I'll have to do more with the track plan to make it look more professional.  But there was very little lag time between submission and publication, and there was good communication to handle some minor details.  Oh, and payment was received in a timely manner!  So yes, I've got a few article ideas in the queue, and will be submitting again.

I finally had a chance to read your article this morning and drool at all the pictures! I thought it was perfect. Very topical, you didn't get lost in rabbit holes, it was well explained and a number of great photos to boot! Very few articles with such a good ratio to help convey the story.

Again excellent stuff, now I want to get those F-units out of the paint booth!

Great job, Lee!

I finished reading about your article today, and was lucky enough to read NSR too.

I really like the backstory on the Laurel Valley, and the photo captions explaining the traffic and shipping as well. Funny how you can take a model railroad and run it prototypically and with a bit of purpose (even a freelanced one), and it becomes a model of a railroad, not just a model railroad.

Splendid effort, and we'll be looking for more!  ;D
