finally, this CNW ex-CR is done

This only took a few years, but I finally finished the weathering this week.  This was the first diesel that I added detail parts to.

I've actually got a CR SD45 waiting for decals right now. I should figure out what that ones CR number was and do that.

Fantastic work (of course)!  Not to take anything away from *your* work, but that nose close-up highlights the need for sturdy closer-to-scale handrails in N.  Maybe that will be the next revolution in RTR diesels.

Good, since it's not done yet, you may want to give the class lights some treatment.

They were usually a gray or silver color with darker lenses.

But now do you see why I like working with blue diesels? It's a good color...

Now that's cool.  Nice nose treatment, if that's dirty puddle, it looks great because you can't tell.

Great job, as usual, Tom! I take it that the somewhat misaligned "3" in the road number on the long hood reflects actual CNW workmanship! Too bad they didn't adopt that paint scheme for all their locomotives. (I'm kidding.) Yes, they kinda just used whatever fonts they found for the numbers.

I'd also like to see more prototype photos for each car, but I was a little unsure how to ask folks to donate their picture, since I would not be able to keep track and definitely not pay everyone a royalty.  Sean was pretty much the only guy I trusted with this.  Maybe I'll run a picture donation on the weatheringfactory website?
