Could it be that you're reinstalling the LED leads backward and blowing out your LED?
I'd have to open mine up to see how it's in there (the one that works, that is..)  I recall just taking my time on the second one, and it works fine.

I thought that and reread the directions, yellow left, green right from inside the cab. I'm reading that as yellow firemans side. Green engineers side. I'll bring them to you at the next Op's Session, I'm done with the F-7 Decoders for right now. On the positive note I got my 0-8-0 harness fixed and tested with decoder just fine.

So I picked up a voltmeter and poked and prodded....

Track is fine 14.1v. I started looking at the boards. F0F/F0F+ are putting out 6 volts...oddly high for what appears to be 4v LEDs. The stock IM Board for an A-unit puts out 1.5v (kinda found that odd too). While a LL GP20 board puts out 6v (again odd).

Spoke to Digitrax and they are going to look into the issue as well as they noted the numbers I pulled to be solid for track and odd for the decoder/stock lightboard.

Lee,
It just occured to me that you stated you have one F-7 with the Digitrax board wired to the LED, would you be able to do me a favor and get a reading off F0F/F0F+ on your board to see what it's putting out? Then I can go back to Dave with those findings as well. Just a thought.

HOT DAMN. I was on a crusade to finish installing decoders last night, I have two decoders that work as they should. FINALLY. Although one board gave up the ghost. 2 more A-Units to go.
