You have to admit, this sounds a LOT cuter than the prototype circus train idea...

From MTL:

"We will be advertising a new Ringling Bros. Billboard Series in our
Micro-News and on our website this May. The 12-month series will
feature colorful representations of actual posters used by Ringling
Bros. and Barnum & Bailey to promote their shows. Each poster will be
displayed across the side of our freight cars like a billboard
advertisement for the coming show! The series will include 11 freight
cars, one locomotive and a caboose and will begin August 1st, 2009!
Standing Order dealers, add this to your Standing Order by Friday, May
15th to guarantee delivery of the first billboard car in August."

Good, I'm glad they're not wasting time on multiples of TTX 89' TOFCs...

I knew I should have answered 'pretty please stop' on the question about fantasy cars.

Sorry everyone, totally my fault.

This whole MT/circus thing sounds strange. Hey we made a flier that doesn't even show artwork of what the cars might look like, please pre-order.

"We will be advertising a new Iron Chef Series in our
Micro-News and on our website this June. The 48-month series will
feature colorful representations of actual meals and ingredients used by Iron Chefs
and challengers on their show. Each meal will be  displayed across the side of our freight cars like an advertisement you might see in a diner or a restaurant. The reverse side will have each
show's exclusive ingredients. Each locomotive in the series will carry
the image of Bobby Flay in a different chef hat. The series will include 39 freight
cars, seven locomotives and two cabooses and will begin September 1st, 2009!
Standing Order dealers, add this to your Standing Order by Friday, May

Darn--I was hoping for a Morimoto bullet train.

This should be as surprising as the sun rising in the east each morning.  I knew they weren't going to actually produce anything that was real.  I bet old Joe had a real chuckle when the conversation turned to what new car bodies might become available for this project...

Boy were we ever duped.

But I'm in for the f**king Gordon Ramsay car for the f**king chef train, yes?

So that quote is not a joke quote , that's really what MTL now says !!!!! MTL disgusts me more and more . I was looking forward to a few correct circus cars , not this same old stuck on stupid stuff .

I should have listened to Mike Skibbe about that Mucker on the flat car last month , it is garbage .

Anybody have a link to that quote ?

So that quote is a joke !!!! I don't need this head game ping pong emotional crap .

Here is the MTL site and it looks like the game is still on .
http://www.micro-trains.com/cs_ringling.php

The Mucker still sucks though .

"We will be advertising a new, exclusive Househunters Series in partnership with HGTV in our
Micro-News and on our website this July. The 96-month series will
feature colorful illustrations of the three homes in a Househunter's episode on one side and the
homeowners and the real estate agent on the other side. Each car in the series will be a prototype
which includes an operating door - which can be opened to reveal the number of the home which was chosen! This will allow you to relive each episode of the show as your train passes! The exclusive locomotives in the series will  feature Suzanne Wong and various celebrity guest hosts from the show. The series will include 89 freight cars, six locomotives and one caboose and will begin October 1st, 2009!  Standing Order dealers, add this to your Standing Order by Friday, May 15th to guarantee delivery of the first Househunters car in October."

I think John should start a new sub category where this would better be listed under . Using Dave Letterman's lead the category could be
" Is This Anything "
or
Rumors Abound
or
Take It For What It Is
or
as we said in the Navy " This Is No Sh**  "
or
" The Scuttle Butt Is " .
