Thanks for the kind words--I appreciate it.

That's one reason I want to get this module finished--there are some improvements I'd like to make on my other modules, not to mention maybe making a couple of new ones.

I finished up a decoder order following receipt of the replacement TCS decoders on Friday.  I also spent some time messing around with the airbrush.  Still much practice needed to get where I want to go, but I did find some success with cheapy craft acrylics using windshield fluid as a thinner.  Maybe some pictures before this thread fades by the end of the week.

Other than that, I've just been stirring up some turd soup over on the A board ;D.

It's hard to guage a persons intent on the net .. your comment came across as pretty negative, and I can see the reaction. Some people are just way too wrapped up in this stuff

Nice shots Chuck.  I finally got to see this scene in person last year when I was visiting my brother in Richmond, and I'm glad I did.  There's a lot going on in that building.  I like your choice of power too: the BN SD40-2 is definitely one of my top-5 favorite loco/paint schemes.

When not working on taxes this week (...), I've been taking advantage of the housing slump to upgrade some center beams and cement hoppers.  Also spent some time unpacking a massive Chuck-pack which included a BN SD40-2!

Technically speaking this would be from last weekend instead of this weekend, but I didn't get the pictures out of my camera until yesterday.

I managed to get a bit more work done on the ICRR Bridge module before last weekend's Zane show:



As I've told a few people, this thing wasn't supposed to be my life's work, but it feels like that's what it's becoming, at least in terms of model railroading.  :-\ On the bright side, MARRS has four workshops scheduled over the summer, so maybe I'll finally have a chance to wrap it up.

Oh, and the streamliners going and coming on top of the bridge? That's actually "streamliner," singular. One of our members was running a 24-car passenger consist, and it was long enough to meet itself around our end loops. (The hill at the left is across the tracks from Area 53 on my loop.)

That water is very realistic looking . The color , opaqueness , and ripples is absolutely familiar to what I see mostly in the north east . You nailed it perfectly .

I managed to get a little RR work in this week. One of the only times in the last 4 months.

Installed some TCS decoders in a pair of Atlas GP-9's and ran 'em for a few hours to break 'em in. They went from OK and noisy runners to good normal sounding runners. Overall I'm mostly pleased with the units and decoders.

I forgot to mention a problem.  Was running a Kato E-8 to break it in.  Ran little over an hour.  When I reduced speed to 0, it kept on running.  After unplugging power and turning it back on, the unit would not run.  Unit did feel quite warm.  Did I burn out a decoder?

This is not the unit you installed for me but the other one that I installed and it ran fine for awhile.

I am currently in limbo for a few days until I get my Atlas #5 LH turnout in the mail.  Chris was kind enough to build me up a handlaid curved turnout to fit the radius of my curve.  Once the Atlas turnout gets here I'm ready to pull up and relay some track at the edge of my yard.
