Common CV settings?

I am noticing that some of my models tend to break the sound barrier pretty quickly on the throttle so I wanted to poll some of you DCC folks for your more common settings for the following CV's:

CV2 - 0 (default)
CV3 - 0 (default)
CV4 - 0 (default)
CV5 - 0 (default)
CV6 - 0 (default)
CV29 - 6 (default)
CV55 - 0 (default)
CV56 - 0 (default)
CV57 - 6 (default)

I usually set my old school Atlas and Kato engines (the fastest on the block) to a top value of 128 and mid range at 98.  Slow speed motors get 154/128.  If I've got a real rocket, it gets 98/72.

If I do momentum at all, I give it an acceleration rate of 4, maybe 6, then set the deceleration rate at half that.

29 get's set at the factory value, unless I wired the motor upside down, then it gets 35 to reverse the normal direction.

What do you do for that Speed Stability Control (CV57)?

With Digitrax recorders, at least the 163 series, CV's 55, 56, and 57 control BEMF settings.  I have no idea whether other manufacturers use these CV's or not.  The only one I have messed with is CV57.  For some reason the factory default is to disable BEMF when using CV 19 for consisting.  When I use CV19, I change CV 57 from 6 to hex 66 (or 102 in real numbers).  The hex 66 sets the BEMF to 6 for both regular running and for CV consisting.

I use mostly the DZ-125's.  I believe these support BEMF.  I've got a couple that behave curiously when consisted as opposed to individually dispatched.  I'll check that out to see what happens if I change 57.  Thanks for the tip.

I played around last night CV57 is a miracle worker. For the RDC I used 1 for CV57 and the thing ran smooth as glass. But then I burned out F1...how...don't know.

So I finally have my RDC tweaked just right (not hex).
