Komatsu keychain vehicles

Unniversal Hobbies has released several Komatsu construction vehicles as keychains. Unlike the Norscot Cat models, the parts do not move and they HAVE made these true N scale. Take a look at the pictures below:

Its just a keychain, but whe wheels have a molded bolt pattern! Compaired to the current design, the model is 3" too tall and about 4" too long in the wheelbase. The total scale is about 1/155.

The PC210 does not feature moving parts which makes the bucket and arm look a lot better then the Norscot model. The Komatsu scales out much closer to N then the 1/133 Norscot model.

Seeing as most n scale vehicles do not scale to true n scale, 3 inches is really not going to make any difference.

So true iN scale is now 1/155?

Since the Japanese use both 1:150 and 1:160 for "N scale," it's not surprising that a Japanese company would make "N scale" equipment in a size halfway between the two. Given that, I have no difficulty in accepting 1:155 as "true N scale," especially in comparison to some of the other stuff that's historically been passed off as being "N scale."

After all, relative to 1:160 scale, a 1:155 vehicle is only 3% oversize, while Code 55 rail is 10% oversized even for the massive 155-pound mainline rail used by the Pennsy.
