Nice. I like it. I always thought the Daylight scheme was garish; this beast could become a temptation, even though it belongs to the opposite end of the continent from my region of interest...

The black skirts are sooo nice looking in front of freight.

They introduced that long Daylight set for just $250.  I had to drop near 10x that for my Z set.   Man, that really hurts.

    I like the fact that they did the prewar Southern Pacific Lines lettering on the tender. If this model was to represent the Wartime Blackout Scheme it should have the cone-shaped blackout shield over the headlight that locomotives operating on the West and Northwest Pacific coasts had . Personally I like the black locomotives with the skirting removed better,like they were after the war or like the War Baby Gs 6 locos and the six that went to WP which Con Cor modeled including the single headlight on their WP loco and found on  SP Gs 6's .
