I'm not into the NS - too modern for me.  But if you are (or even if you're not) you need to look on that auction site and search for
NS Norfolk Southern Executive ABBA.  Mighty glad I don't want it, 'cause I can't afford it.  I don't know who ctpahantom is, but based on his description and the many photos, that's one helluva job he did.

Nice model!

I don't understand why Kato hasn't jumped up to produce a UP or NS executive train. With UP, many of the cars are already done - as well as the locos (E8's with some slight alterations). Most of the remaining cars are based on cars they already make as well.

They really just need to do the Idaho (or other) inspection car or business car; a power car (they are all based on RPO's with different window arrangements), a skirtless sleeper or two.  The dome, diner, baggage (used as a dance floor car), coaches are all basically used as-is.

I agree - not one single BLMA detail part on these engines...   :-\

Yeah, no detail parts...but it's not a bad looking set I guess. I got a thing for those executive trains. That would be cool at an N-Trak event.
