Richie, I was so shocked by the price that I called MTL to confirm there was not some kind of mistake in the Micro News. I just don't get it.
Tomorrow the sales staff has the new product meeting. My salesperson took notes on my concern and said they would ask about the pricing.
I'm really interested to hear what they have to say about this. They must be really labor intensive to build is all I can imagine.

I am interested too as to their comments . My guess is it snaps together as easily as a pair of hose to an old garter belt , and they just want to milk me like a dumb contented cow . Just guessing on both counts .

N scale division has a picture of a 40' car but the same 50' description.  What's with that?

It is a typo in the Micro News. I'm changing it to 40'.

Thank you, Bob. I really shouldn't do this stuff on my day off.

I think they are testing the waters.....

If people will pay $17.25 for a pair of trucks they can probably up their minimum box car price to at least $35.

*sigh*

I just can't believe that the $149.95 MSRP stated in the Micro News is not a misprint. That's more than three times the price of any of their other bulk pack trucks with couplers. I don't get it. It's gotta be a misprint....I hope.

They are finally using new price points based on ebay sales of 10 year old MT products.

I think they're off by 1; according to my count this is the 13th (and last) Provinces car.

Actually if Randy would make a casting that glues to an Arch Bar truck , and has a mounting pad for 905 couplers that would be ideal and look much better .
