thanks for doing this, I was just about to comment about the things I like on the other thread ...

I gotta point out that now the releases only come with drum cymbals: "You can choose low profile wheels or "pizza cutters"."

Choice means that if you don't want the pizza wheels, you gotta go buy replacements.

I also still like their couplers, even though this is not often mentioned (they were the standard for three decades!)

I didn't vote, because the one thing I can count on from MT is trucks and couplers.  Although Bob's note about bulk packs lacking lo-pros does resonate with me.

I haven't bought an MT car new since the camp cars came out a couple of years ago...

Anyway, I'm thankful for the variety of gons MT offers.  Just so happens that they make an accurate version of the 52'6" Lehigh Valley prototype.  Even better, the HO guys have to kitbash this car.

So many say "I never buy Micro-Trains anymore.". Somebody's buying their cars, like me. Two of my three recent purchases were MTL tank cars, the BLW special run Mobilgas, and this month's Anderson-Pritchard 3 dome. The other was an older InterMountain kit bought on eBay.

Folks were using those 3 dome cars for razor blades by the era that I model...  They do have some decent carbodies, I'd really like to have more of their 55 ton hoppers.  But for the price, I think they should be the right color and have the lettering halfway correct.  (I'm not above painting and decaling, but no one makes n scale WM hopper lettering, and I'm not paying collector prices for cars that would be stripped...)

I didn't know you were modeling the CSX era, Lee. One of my customers on the AN used one of those 3 dome tankcars until it was wrecked by the RF&P at Acca Yard just before the RF&P was merged into CSXT.

One compartment had Tall Oil Fatty Acid, the second, Tall Oil Blends, and the third Distilled Tall Oil, all shipped to Guignon & Green, Newark, NJ, on Conrail. When ACFX would not replace the car, business went to truck.  >  :'(

It is the oil extracted from wood in the papermaking process. It stinks, as you can imagine, but the distilled product is used in perfume, soap, printer's ink, glue and who knows what else.

There was a refence to it in their catalog on how many body styles they have in HO and N.

I don't have it handy to look it up right now.
