Just saw this and I have got to figure I am missing something here. I love Atlas cabooses, definetly the best out there, but $80. ??? :o

It's called supply and demand. Life-Like, now Walthers, has issued both Berkshires and 0-8-0 switchers in NKP, Atlas and Walthers have issued Diesels in NKP, but no one has issued a caboose - this was the absolute first in N scale. Evidently not enough were reserved to satisfy demand.

Well, he's asking $80.  You can ask any price you want.  It'll be interesting to see if someone will pay that much...  ;)

This has been going on for a while now on eBay with these NKP Cabooses. I have seen them go for over $100.00. Wacky.

  Geez, and I gave away my extra one to a fellow Wasatch N Scale Club member who had an NKP Berk and had never been able to find one of those cabeese, I foigured I didn't need 2 with just one Berk and some NKP diesels, now if I could find an accurate C&O Cabin Car to go with my other Berk a C&O.           Nate Goodman (Nato). Salt Lake, Utah.

been going on for about 6 months now...

classic supply and demand...

i for one... have benefitied from it.... my modeling skills are now improved since i am now doing my own painting...

amazing how cheap UNDEC's seem compared to $80.

the thing is... there is a demand for THESE mass produced ones....

imagine what you could do if you could actually find NKP caboose decals and custom paint different road numbers...

wanna talk about lucrative?

p.s. i am a recovering NKP-aholic....as is evident by the "PA's, Berk's and Mikado's oh-my"
