Retail Store Adjusted Hours
Beginning on Monday, May 7th 2007 our retail store on Gay Street will be closed on Monday through Thursday. We will be open Fridays from 10:00AM to 5:00PM and Saturdays 9:00AM to 5:00PM and closed on Sundays.

That's what it is?  I thought FRTS was buying the whole block to open an east coast division.

Actually, if it weren't for the projects right on the other side of 83, I'd take one, but only if there WAS a Starbucks (or preferrably, a local coffee place) on the first floor.

Although, there is going to be such a glut of "upscale" urban condos downtown, you can probably buy one for next to nothing.

If it were up to me, I'd take a unit in the Standard on the fifth floor, which served as the home office of the Western Maryland Railway from the 1920's to the 1950's, when they moved over to the Commercial Credit building.

I actually looked at some of the places in the standard with one of my friends who had thought about getting one.

He ended up not pulling the trigger, but it was a nice place.

Today Klein's website shows the Gay Street store will close permanently at 5:00PM tomorrow, May 12th. In store retail sales will not resume, at the new Cockeysville location, until Flag Day, June 14th.

Local police are perplexed by the sudden spike in railroad trespassing. The region's two major roads, CSX and Norfolk Southern have been forced to divert security assets from other regions to help deal with the sudden crime wave. Reports are coming in describing the troublemakers as having glazed eyes and when approached on railroad property immediately begin to spout technical data about locomotives and rolling stock. Homeland security reportedly has created a special task force to assess the danger to national security. "Oddly enough, it all began on Mother's day" commented one anonymous official.
