Here's some 1931 builder's photos of a truly unusual railroad and cars from The Locomotive, a British magazine, dated 10/15/1931. The Bermuda Railway only operated for 16 years, from 1931 to 1947, and only operated "doodlebugs".

For the next few weeks, we'll explore the three trolley operators in Philadelphia in the 1950's.

WB auto parts train accelerating after crossing the Maumee R bridge in Toledo.  Note the 3rd unit - a switcher probably going to or coming from its assigned service base.  A newly painted transfer caboose and SW over on the passenger tracks too.  Way in the distance to the right of the concourse you can see Sun Oil Co. refinery distillation towers and flare in east Toledo.  Would have been a better shot had I remembered to use my cable filter.  ::)

Now don't you feel stupid for doing those C&NW & ICE paint outs?
