CR (ex PC, ex PRR) LL C424 pics... finally

A trip to MBK today reminded me that I took these the other night and haven't posted them (Bryan, this is really for you)
This is my LL C424 that has been done up as a slightly un-prototypical PRR paint out.
I still love how it turned out.
It's mostly stock, although I have added a few details. Chief among them are some plastruct I-beams representing the very obvious frame. These went a LONG way toward improving the look of this engine when viewed from the side. I also added a sinclair radio antenna (as per PRR, PC & CR practice), some old ACI labels and I think some warning stickers.
I then scratched out the keystones, mostly, and added some flat black paint over where the "Penn Central" lettering would have been. This contrasted just enough with the DGLE of the locomotive to be noticable.
I also added some quintessential ex-PC alco weathering: streaks around the bottom of the battery compartments (where the acid has leaked a little), and some oil streaks coming out of the engine compartment doors and dripping down the fuel tank.

Very nicely done... I like the track weathering and ballast work, too.
I'm going to have to break down and get one of those dogs sooner or later.

I was hoping that wouldn't happen Gregg.
Does anyone else see more than the one photo?

Nice job, for a Diesel...I do wonder about the one "CR" in vertical letters and the other two in
italic
lettering. You'd think the shop boys would use the same stencil for all three "CR's". Have you got a photo showing 2415 done this way? BTW, I can confirm that some shops painted full Penn Central units in DGLE rather than the specified black. Saw one in Rose Lake (E. St. Louis) in October 1968. ;D
Your right of way is looking up, but still needs more trash and detritus.

Oh no, no proto photos for this one at all.
Thanks for the kind words about the layout, don't worry though, it's still FAR from complete...

Why didn'tcha TELL me you were gonna do one of those things.
Just as well though. A crummy photo and I would have expected you to model the open door too. ;D
Great job!! Even if it is a paint out.

When I first saw this I thought for sure you had just photo shopped Ed's model into a proto picture... then I noticed the number was different...
Good work, Edzo.
