Great posts this weekend! 

Back in East Norwood, the road department painted some traffic lines on Wesley Ave and patched a nasty pothole.  I'm now printing traffic signals that'll I'm intending to suspend on wires between 4 posts at the intersection of Norwood Ave.  This may be ambitious, but I'm gonna have to try wire them up with LEDs, at least a single light each:


I finished up the modifications to the container chassis' and printed this 48'er.  Here it is being tested with an MTL container I also repainted and custom-decaled.  That's one of the new AZL day-cab tractors hitched up to it.

Do you need a dehumidifier in the layout room for all the moisture that corn sweat is producing?    Looks fabulous, and a unique approach to scenicing a layout not commonly seen.

Saunders truck dump completed with printed dump truck in place.  Very loosely based on the truck dump on ATSF/BNSF in AZ.

What technique did you use? That looks great, and I think I want to do the same with an X26.

Thank you. I started with a wash of Tamiya Brown panel liner, Highlighted with Dark Gray Panel liner then a mixture of powders. Sealed with Tamiya TS-80 flat clear. wheel faces painted Tamiya Nato Black XF-69. I Painted the rest of the wheel set Tamiya Flat Brown XF-10 then dusted with powders.

Thanks! Bluford Shops corn has got to be the least practical and absolutely most expensive way to add scenery a layout. But it does have the added benefits of requiring zero thought and zero modeling skill

I finally finished making and planting several million (or so it felt like) super trees for my mosquito breeding pond. And as someone who just really hates everything there is to hate about modeling scenery, this was able as painful a project as it gets 

Wow!  That really speaks about a person's character, to put that level of detail into work that you don't enjoy.  Big respect!

Sweet scene -- how are painting your roads?

The basic color is Tamiya Sky Gray;  Weathering is mostly chalks, but there was a wash of very thin brown/black after the initial gray dried.  The lines are masked and then paint was just dabbed on with a Q-tip, with very light paint remaining on the Q-tip.  There's a bit more info in the Layout Engineering Report.
