Intermountain cab fwd tires

Question for the guys with the cab fwd.  I have a few of these cabs and now they need the traction tires replaced. They came with four per box. That's not the issue.  I haven't been able to remove the crank pin bolts.  I can get them to spin but they don't seem to be threaded like the new Bachmann J3 has.  I tried to just pull them out but they won't budge. I don't want to risk damaging anything till i find out if they are pins or have threads.  Anyone have an answer out there.

I recall a thread over on another forum regarding the disassembly of an IM AC-12.
Here's the reply from over 10 years ago pertaining to removing the crank pins....

"no they are just press fit. I placed a stanley blade behind the rod and rocked it and the pins came loose. Small pliers or tweezers can then pull them out."
