In atrocious conditions Western New York and Pennsylvania ALCO C430 #432 heads through Eldred, PA, with a train of hoppers loaded with frack sand heading for discharge at Turtle Point - 11 October 2017.
While waiting on the bridge for the shot the local constabulary just shook their heads in disbelief when they stopped to check on my wellbeing.

I don't know what it is about an NS engine riding UP rails in Utah, but I sure do love it. This is in the little town of Morgan about 20 mile east of Ogden. Browning guns are made here and I just stopped into their store to get a hat, stepped out and heard the rumble and was able to get a quick shot of this grain train. A little further up the line, just before Evanston Wyoming, there was a military train with about 160 peices of equipment (my wife counted)  from tracked artillery to normal support vehicles. I would have got a picture but it was a little far away and I was driving.

I think the WNYP had a significant derailment secondary to a washout just recently. Disregard, it was the NYSW that had the derailment.

Lol. Yeah. You know the turnaround time on developing those flash cards... In reality, I've retooled a bunch of my workflow. I got Lightroom, upgraded Photoshop, and am getting used to CS:CC

CSX has been running Sunday extras on the Hanover Sub lately, as they deemed the interchange traffic needs to be to Gettysburg and Smiths Siding ( G&W YorkRail ) for their pickups Monday morning, not Tuesdays.  I think this is 3 weeks in a row now, so might be a regular occurrence.  Crews from Hagerstown take the train east, then return lite to Hagerstown when they make drop at Smith's.
