Great to see another steaming giant brought back to life in all of its glory.  Boy, that smokebox is shiny! Unprototypical!   :D

Given that BuNSnifF is so against anything other than their trains, doubt very much that 2926 & 3751 can ever get together by rail!

I saw photos yesterday of the firebox, but I had no idea the pistons weren't in place. I'm sure there's a reason why they did that, but I'll be darned if I know what it is.
2926 is a project that's been going on so long, I think it surprised people to know they'd finally lit a fire.
I wonder where this engine is going to run. Naturally, most fans immediately started wishing for a doubleheader with 3751, and I hope that comes to pass.
Interesting warning sign on the cylinder housing, does anyone have a better photo of it?

Top warning is fall hazard the other two I can't make out

Edit
Looked on the Facebook page. Middle warning is hot surface and lower is loud whistle

"Warning: Do NOT place hands in fire"

"Warning: Do NOT inhale steam from steam dome."

Pete, just give it a few minutes (in actual operation) for the smokebox to look "normal" unless they used some modern, super-duper, ultra high temperature paint or powder coat.

Oh I realize that it was prototypical (since it is a photo of a working prototype). That is why I followed my statement with a smiley.
