I don't own one, so I have to ask, but does the Bachmann shell fit on the Atlas drive?  Would some minor modifications give you the right level of detail and a better runner?

If I remember, this was tried earlier and the Bachmann shell is closer to scale width and won't fit over the widebody Atlas mech. Similar to the problem mentioned above with IM F units over a Kato mech.
