Um, this begs a question: Who made those trucks, why are they discontinued, and could these be produced by someone else?

Thanks Joe D.  I've been looking for this type but didn't think to look at the ones for passenger cars.

... small runs means being late to the party ends up with no product

This item, as well as the trucks, were first brought to market at least a decade ago.  So it's not as if this was a one-time short run and there wasn't opportunity to acquire them in the past.

Does anyone know if the B60b kit will be available again in the future?

We will likely have another run of the B60b baggage cars (in the hopefully not-too-distant future).  Our last run was limited by the quantity of trucks we could acquire.  The story of the trucks is an unfortunate one which I will not go into, but we are looking into alternatives.  In the mean time, the B60b ran on two different kinds of trucks.  The second truck is similar to the freight trucks that come with some ConCor 3-bay hoppers.  These cars can usually be found cheaply at train shows (use ones with friction bearing journals rather than roller bearing journals).  See below for more information.

Unless you weren't looking for them in the past.  There are always new converts to the the SPF life. ;)  I don't know when the last run before this previous one was, but I know I missed out on all of them so far. Most recently because I had to wait 3 days for payday..by then it was too late.  Although I did manage to get decals. :D

I thought I saw it mentioned on the R50b thread that GHQ is going to make the 2D-P5 trucks for this kit in pewter and have them available as a separate item.

Has anyone contacted American Limited to ask them if they would make another run of these trucks?

Would it be possible to do these thru Shapeways?

I have a need for these and would like to see them available again.

It seems that the tooling was lost around the time that San Juan Car acquired the American Limited assets.

Tooling for the trucks was not lost, but it is owned by a third party and are not in possession of American Limited.
