Anyone wonder if Kato calls up Amtrak and says " hey; could you guys make a change to your paint scheme this quarter; we're a little light on revenue and we need to schedule another limited Amtrak release......." ;D

I'd say the odds against this are approximately seven thousand eight hundred twenty four point seven to one.

I mean it's pretty clear that for the North American market, revenue is clearly not a motivator for Kato.  ;)

Model railroading isn't saving my life, but it's providing me moments of joy not normally associated with my current situation..... Train are good!

What phase paint?  I may want them. ;D

One in Phase II (it came in the set of two baggage cars), and one in Phase IV (part of the Step Up Coach set that just came out).

I installed a couple of grabs on the Phase II, and painted the trucks flat black on it too.

lol. Seems almost plausible since amtrak is government-owned; and the government loves throwing money around. ;D [/end politics]

If N scale had good SD40-2s, C30-7s, U30Cs, SD45s, SD40s, and SW10s; I'd be in N scale.

I picked up the five car set iwth a P42, and extra P42, and then I picked up two 4 car Superliner sets.  I have an extra amcoach and baggage on order.  I am definately caught up on my Amtrak stuff.  I do have an interest in the retro schemes, maybe phase one!

Very Happy Kato has announced the first Amtrak Anniversary Loco.  Thank you!   I would assume you'll be able to pick it up for around $75-80  Looking forward to the whole set.
Thank you,

But somebody already beat Kato to the punch, and then threw it right back at them....
