The illustration's a bit vague so lets speculate... Is that a short sliding tandem rail underneath or just standard undercarriage?

Jason or Skibbe - is the CGW set by Oddball Decals right? I thought the road only had 40 footers and the decal set states 45'. Worse case scenario, maybe Trainworx will consider undecs and people can relegate their smooth side S&R Model versions to a dark corner somewhere.

Man, how did I miss those beaded trailer kits? When were those made? I would have gotten a few.

I'll be picking up a few undec trailers to use as storage trailers.

The CGW had only 40'ers.  I think for the 'fallen flag' decals, Oddball only knows what he's told.  And when it comes to the CGW, even the 'experts' need to be double checked.

In 1967, the CGW had 6 dry vans, 16 insulated vans, and 344 reefer vans. All were 40' long and 8' wide and 12'6" tall.  198 of the reefers came from two series of numbers with the main differences being the underslung equipment.  Not much is known about the dry or insulated vans but I think at least one of the is the same body style as the reefers sans cooling (so that would seem like it was the insulated ones).

Good to see another trailer style announced - the absence of a corrugate side trailer was a motivating factor for doing the Can-car kits.

Does anyone know if the corrugations are on the sides only, or do they carry around the front?  i have been trying to find out how to model a corrugated sides and front trailer.

Re the Can-car kits - For a limited run kit it did well with more than 160 sold.  I can get more bodies cast, but I have sold the last complete kits and I would need enough orders to warrant another run of the etchings.  I am not even sure what quantity would be required for a re-run.

Depending on how the sides are colored (paint vs. plastic coloration) stripping and repainting could yeld a host of other opportunities.

What I hate though is that we're FINALLY getting really good TOFC/COFC models, and I switched modeling emphasis so that I don't need them . . .

I'm curious about that too, as the CGW trailers are a high polish finish. If the paint scheme were done I'd hate to have to repaint them to get them right.

Bryan, you should get Trainworx a copy of that photo to expedite its manufacture. I'm tempted to scan the trailer pages from Morning Sun's CGW Color Guide to do the same, despite lack of reproduction rights.

The NP trailer in the photo is also a high polished finish.  
One thing I don't know and will require some research is whether or not the trailer has a side door on the opposite side which was common to many of the NP's trailers.

After doing some research, I'll communicate with TW and see if they'd like the photo.
