Thanks guys, gave me some really good ideas..Actually Ed, your idea of something like Canal St, would be cool, I have the Walthers grain elevator and cold storage building already built and sitting on a shelf. And David`s thought of several smaller buldings could be neat, maybe throw in a bit of street running..

I worked at that 84 Lumber, and even got to unload a boxcar full of studs in 1994.  They pushed it into our little used siding with 2 SD40-2's.  I thought for sure they would roll one or both of them over into the ditch.

I've often cogitated on modeling that line, and you... you and your filthy little ZTS maps...  I need to look at some WM steam pictures to cool down... :-\

There used to be a long branch line out of Phoenixville that ran to Frazer (old PRR). At the end of it, the largest customer was American Sweeteners. Dozens of tank cars of corn syrup and occasionally a covered hopper of dry sugar. Power was posted there as a job and switching continued all during first shift. A local would come down and back from Abrams (in the Conrail days) to replenish inventory and pull empties.

There also was a team track where a refrigerated car would be spotted empty and loaded with frozen meat processed up the road off line (DeVault Packing).  At the very end of service, a refrigerated whse was constructed with a rail spur. Never used.

Just this weekend, crews lifted out the tracks crossing PA 29 and macadamed the road. The tracks and rubber panels sit along the right of way.
