On the new extension of the layout I`m in the middle of I have a 6 inch by 30 inch space that is dying to be a single large rail customer. Now for the fun part, I have several corn syrup, 57 foot reefers, and covered hoppers that I have no online customers for. Looking for any and all ideas.. Maybe a brewery? food processing plant?

What area of the country would help define a prototypical name ?

A huge lumber reload.  A single siding down the middle of a paved yard, piles of wrapped lumber everywhere, a T shed to cover the plywood stacks, a small yard office, and maybe a warehouse.  Ideal for a linear piece of real estate like that.

Centerbeam flats, and a big fork lift.  Some bridal ribbon to make a chain link fence around the whole operation.  You could have it built in a weekend.

Possibly you could turn it into a small industrial park. Assuming it's against the wall, you'd only need to model the ends of the buildings facing a single long siding, with loading docks/unloading equipment as needed. Three small industries backed up against the track would create an interesting spotting puzzle, where you'd need to spot certain cars next to certain buildings. So one might be a food processing plant to accept corn syrup; one might be a produce distributor to accept the refers; and the third might be a small plastics manufacturer to take plastic pellets delivered in covered hoppers. Or some such.

Perfect. The ends of three ~10-inch-wide buildings would fit nicely. Or, one really long one, but I think three would add more spice to the switching.

I'm partial to David's idea about the 3 separate buildings myself. 

Personally I'd modify it and I'd choose to do a frozen foods distributor for the reefers rather than a produce one because it's just something I see in those industrial parks a lot more often, but that's just me.

Maybe even something that has to be accessed switch-back style and uses a crossing over another spur.

I actually just saw the new bakery today too, tucked under the bridge, pretty nice looking place. Does it get rail service?

Also, Rich, have you thought about maybe just doing a street scene, like Canal St in Philly, or something like that? You could fit multiple industries in that way, and it'd have a LOT of character (more so than modern industrial park).

I'm just back from picking up daughter #1 in East Baltimore...  drove across the Key Bridge.  Over by North Point Blvd. is the DAP plant.  They had a mess of covered hoppers in the sidings there.  Neat facility.
