Are they Archer rivets Tony? - looks great!

Yes, they are Archer Fine Transfers. These are from the original generic small rivet assortments. There are a few rivets missed but the general arrangement reflects the original. Now I just need to spend another evening doing the other side.

I just have to add that I think the Archer transfers have really kick-started scrtachbuilding for me again, especially since n scale rivots were always a dicey proposition at best.

That does look great!  I hope you're planning to change the coupler though.  ;)

Really liking the tender there, SkipGear. I went to the race this weekend, but on Saturday, I painted the roadbed black. The race was awesome, no pictures to show for though, were were pretty high up. I got burn a little bit, people in school could tell I was outside with sunglasses lol.

Link: https://www.nmrastores.com/Public_Store/product_info.php?cPath=47&products_id=91&osCsid=5s35k5fnfkc2iqkitsl4fc92p6

In case that doesn't work, follow these directions:

Go to http://www.nmra.org
Under "about the NMRA" in the left navigation bar, click on "online store".
On the next page, click on either "member store" or "non-member store" as the case may be.
On the next page in the left navigation bar, click on "Heritage and Living Legends Cars".
On the next page, click on "N Scale Cars".
On the next page, select the car you want from the dropdown box at the top of the page, then click "Add to Cart".

And after all that, I just now noticed that the AM car is not in the dropdown list anymore...  That's where I found it, so maybe I got one of the last ones.

negative....  they are available... i called and piggybacked it on my order....  they are simply not showing up online for some reason...

I resurected a project from earlier this year. Finally decided to just scratch build the correct tender.

Excellent!  Can't wait to see it painted.

Tony,
Excellent tender. Those rivets really pop, almost seems a shame to paint it.

I recently picked this up at the Strasburg show; needed some love:

Reworked the pickups on both trucks, installed DCC and the pan/rail switch circuit, painted it, and put fiber-optics in for the marker lights. Between myself and the other members, we've already got enough for a 9-car MU train. Photos soon!
