Weekend Update - 5/16/2010

Personally, I find the selection of a modern car for the CS  to be a little strange.  Also, it would have been nice if there had been a preview on the online store; I really don't have any use for a modern covered hopper.

I agree, I was REALLY pissed they did a V&O company service car. If it had been a 50' box, I'd have bought 5 of em...

However, if you want to rid yourself of the CSRR hopper, I'd be happy to give it a good home. PM me.

My wife saw the Lucy trailer and now she wants one.....

Not much in the scale department this weekend, but I spent Friday night in Granite City, IL with this gem:



Lime green, yellow and silver never looked so good!

Had plans to work on the yard platform while the wife was at school taking finals on Saturday, but ended up painting on the house.  The good news is that there are a few more screens and storm windows out of the way in the garage, making a little more room for real progress.  Also started toying with rebuilding a Bachmann Northern into a Western Maryland J-1 Potomac class...



Next I have to contact Digitrax to gripe.  I mailed them 4 burned up decoders over a month ago, and not even a peep.  I hope they didn't get lost en route.  Grrr.

I got some new kits out this weekend. HO Scale gate valves for steel mill modelers, but they could be used for N Scale flat car loads.


I also got two etchings done for two O Scale ACW projects.  They'll be out if a few weeks.

Tony, that ROCKS!!!  I echo the question...  What did you do for rivets?
