I do not know why there is so many complaints, from what I can tell Con-Cor has delivered one of the most prototypical trains ever.  From all the track problems to the complicated wiring, and if our N scale people could talk they would tell us about how they are being bounce around ust like the real thing.   ;D

Now THAT'S funny!   ;D  But let's see, the operating cost of the real Aerotrain to get from New York to Chicago was about $125.  If Con-Cor's Aerotrain only cost that much I might be OK with the problems!    ::)

Man, that crew must have worked cheap. Assuming a five man crew, that's about $1.50 per hour per man. Minimum wage was $1.00 per hour then. Then there's fuel, lube oil, etc.  ;D ;D ;D

My bad, I meant the fuel cost was $125 from New York to Chicago ($.32 per passenger according to the Rail Classics article included with the Con-Cor set).  BTW, for those interested, there is a 9 minute video about the Aerotrain and the one in St. Louis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oItV2ymPPGM
