That would be in the subscriber content on the MR site... I suppose if someone felt the need they could surrepticiously download the file and email it to those lacking such access...  Not that I would ever recommend such a thing...

It is a cool plan, and I have a copy of the magazine where it appeared.  The room looks a bit larger than your available space, about 11 x 13, but it's also an HO scale plan, and sort of busy at that.  Since you have roughly 2/3 that space and your working in N, you should be able make it a lot more spacious looking.

I would leave out the tiny corner staging accesses, though, and just use a divider you can see over if you need to.

It isn't really the plan, just the way the staging is all around.

I believe during 1967, the L&HR was running both RS-3's and C420's MU'ed on their symbol freights. (IIRC, they had 9 C420's and 6 RS-3's on the roster. Don't know if all the RS units were in service, but some were still in use. I know, they aren't exact, but people have been using them for years. (D&H units all had single beam headlights, for example.) They are the only game in town, and probably will be for a long time. J&J lists RS-3 number boards. Mixed consists are a good thing.

this is true - the Atlas L&HR RS-3's aren't exact, but for me, they are close enough.  my plan is to pickup 2 RS-3's and 4 C420's.  that gives me 3 sets of power.  i just need to pickup a Reading GP30 and a GP35 and about a dozen Reading hoppers for the run through coal. 

i think the staging that David K Smith has drawn up should work.
