Walkercot, do you happen to remember that guy's name?  If he offered 7-footers, I would buy a bunch!

i was persusing thru some of my Morning Sun Cover Guides tonight. There a a bunch of schemes that Atlas never did. B&O, C&O, L&N, Wabash, a couple of CNW schemes. Both Atlas and Athearn could run these for quite awhile before duplicating effort.

Those boxcar doors sound like something DesPlaines would have, but I don't know for sure.

Looks like the C&O 3 bay hoopers are C&O/Chessie not just C&O. Good thing. Walet is getting thin.

True, but the Atlas C&O 2 bay Offsets are due in a month or two and that one's gonna hurt.

Amoto, I "saved" his info on the "dead" hard-drive(of course!), but I haven't heard a thing in probably three years. He showed "samples" of his 7' and 8' doors. You could just glue them in-place or if you were semi-crazy, you could sand down the MT doors to paper thickness and glue his on top. He also was going to make the various ends for PS-1 boxcars(like Sunshine Models does in HO). I have no idea if he dropped the idea or dropped dead(not to be gross). We had a guy in town making "pup" trailer kits from white metal. Marty's kit's were nice, and his RTR's were nice but everything was a little pricey. Then Athearn came along, and blew him out of the water. Marty's gotten out of trains completely, and I think is into RC cars now. He had a "fire sale" on his train collection, and some people got some good deals, but I was sorry to see him get out of trains. I can't search the "A" board's archives, as I'm persona non grata over there(no loss to me). You can't do some things on the "A" board, like tell the truth, so I'm "gone". Someone who's good, did an article I think in N-Scale mag, about splicing several MT doors together. Maybe Ron Bearden...sounds like his kinda thing. 8)
