While I am aware that Dickerson Run or Connellsville is not part of the modelled area, would P&LE be allowed, anyhow?  I might just be tempted to get one of my Kato mikados decoderised.  I have the iron ore loads for the hoppers, gondolas and the NYCS wood caboose.

If first generation diseasels are allowed, I could even get DCC chassis for my green lightning striped GP-7s and RS-3s.  I do not know where you could fit a decoder into an SW-9 or an Arnold S-2 (they are also green, but minus the stripes, as P&LE yard goats did not have stripes).  For the PAs, should I get the C-C or Kato chassis decoderised?  I do have P&LE passenger cars, and a few NYCs, as well.  There is also a grey passenger GP-7 (P&LE's passenger power came in grey stripes.  There were some different schemes, later) 

But then, NYC hudsons did run on the P&LE (P&LE had no hudsons, and the only way that anyone will ever see a K-5 or K-6 is brass), so that is also a possibility.  There were also four H-9s (USRA heavy 2-8-2) that had steam lines and signalling devices, so that could also be done.

Capital idea!  The whistle and the chugging slowly draws you from the bricks..............................................................

It was that train that made me contract the railroading virus.  Man she was ugly, but it was pure enjoyment watching her work.  If someone ever did a T-1, I'd be all over it like a bad suit.... Reading, though.  No Cats Allowed.

P&LE was not part of the Alphabet Route - NKP, WLE, PWV, WM, RDG, CNJ, LHR, NH.

I know, the WM and P&LE shared a station in Connellsville on the elevated track (which was abandoned longer than it was used).  So, sure there could have been some leased power...

Okay, I'll concede that P&LE wasn't "officially" part of the Alphabet Route, but Alpha Jet trains did run through to Dickerson Run, and the P&LE was a critical connection between the WM and Pittsburgh.  (P&WV was more important in getting thru traffic over to the NKP at Bellevue, OH than forwarding things to it's namesake city)
Also, before Penn Central, the P&LE was part of the NYC, which was a very willing accomplice to the Alphabets in diverting traffic away from the PRR.
