Spent some time doing some bullshit modeling.

Two steel casting flat car loads from stuff I came across around the house. One was the "lock" on a Neutrogena bottle that kept the spout from dispensing in transit. The other are the weirdest wire nuts I've ever seen that came from replacing an igniter in my stove. Both with some styrene strip blocking.

These were fun "dumb" projects.

Spent the weekend doing some Horribly Oversized things! Went to a Free-Mo meet, and in preparation, I finished the wire handrails on my HO scale GP9R rebuild. While there, I ran not only that GP9R, but many trains, and had a very fun time. Not fun enough to jump ship from N, but fun enough that... well...

myself and another friend build Signal modules while at the meet, LOL!

I plan on adding a pair of Showcase Miniatures GRS LH semaphores and probably a pair of Showcase Miniatures GRS Searchlights to model the period when the NH was changing over from Semaphores to Searchlights on the Maybrook line, but first I need to replace the tracks on the module, as we didn't realize until we went to hook the modules into the layout that we had Code 100 track not Code 83... oops!

There will be some N scale modeling coming very soon, as over the next two weeks I plan on starting to paint models for the Officer Extra (or OX) for my freelance B&CCS. It'll be hauled by an FPA-2 (which needs some details added to it) and have some interesting cars in the consist, so stay tuned for that!
Check out my YouTube Channel youtube.com/@NScaleTrainBoy and the B&CCS at bccsrailroad.weebly.com!

OH NO!!!!  HELL HAS FROZEN OVER!!!

Yup, it's true.  This week, I stole some Kato Unitrack from one of my Kato CoLA car sets, snapped 'em together on my drafting table and attached my old DC dual throttle pack to a bumper section to use as a test track for various DC locomotives I'm working on.

I did the same a few yrs back, with some HO track to boot for the few HO locos I have. I can run it DC or DCC (NCE).

You won't see it on any of my layouts, but the Kato track is top notch in terms of quality.
