I'm with you, taking out windows is a pain.  If I'm not lazy, I'll put Tamiya tape over the cab and then trace with a sharp x-acto. 

If I'm lazy, a q-tip and 70% directly after spraying/weathering is safe.  If it's dried over, 91% and more care.

On the front windows, just wipe a crescent the width of the windshield wiper. That would look cool.

I thought about that. I actually did that on some HO E units ages ago. It DID look cool. It's a challenge in N though, and I'm afraid it'd draw attention to the actual lack of wipers.
