Thanks @ednadolski.  I airbrushed a 50/50 mix of Tamiya acrylic XF-1 Flat Black and XF-79 Linoleum Deck Brown thinned one part paint, two parts thinner (99% IPA).  This is the base coat and I will add some weathering as well.

The trucks were actually done by @DeltaBravo before the car came my way. He's got a great technique.

Radisson, you can achieve results like that by first shooting the trucks with a coat of flat dullcoat, then dusting them with PanPastels. It’s fast, easy, and looks great.
