Those look great. Did you do the designing or is it from somewhere else? I'm looking at picking up an 8k.

Drasko, I assume you were aiming this at me.  The tanks are from Thingiverse and the PRR G38 is from my friend who is behind Oley Valley Railcars and prints/sells it in HO.

Oh wow! Yup, that was for you! Lol
Now that was an odd glitch. When i typed the reply, your quote was in the box, not his!
Thank you for the info. I need to pick up a printer i guess.

Here is a thread where I have some decent progress on my lake Cowichan section.

You did a great job on the orange bridge and the CN trestle, and the Malahat video is very encouraging.  I knew exactly where I was the second the clip started (it helps that the bridge has such a distinctive outline).  I had wondered how to capture a sense of the Malahat in a small space, but you've done it well.

The long part of lake Cowichan near the bridge over the river is a very nostalgic place for me which is why I’ve dedicated so much space to such an unimportant part of the line…

I think choosing a prototype with some personal meaning for you is key to going the extra mile on a modeling project.  It's hard to believe that all that track has been gone for nearly four decades now.  I remember how the Dayliner would have to stop at Hayward for the conductor to sign the train register, so anything coming off the Lake Cowichan sub would know that the passenger had cleared.  It's all gone now, but it's slowly coming back to life in my basement.

Thank you. I’m spending a lot of time really trying to capture the flavour of these scenes. I’ve redone a few bits more than once when I find a photo that shows a new feature. I need to stop looking haha.

There’s a good possibility an etched kit for the Niagara Canyon bridge (former Cisco crossing for any OG CPR modellers) could come to fruition… added interested from any additional parties would be excellent. PM me if you’d like to chat.

Do you have a build thread?
