Starting to bury the team track in the dirt and weeds.

After many moons, the last structure,  the  house kit is finally completed. Also got some initial ballasting done and the forms for the road paving in place.

Ironic the kit that made you come up with this module in the first place is almost the last feature added to it.

It was also the longest build so I wanted the other ones out of the way and this one doesn't directly impact the track so thre is more flexibility . Now this means I can continue on the scenery elements.

Correct. As stated in my first post,  this location is made up. Some of the elements like the overpass and silos are inspired by the Derry, Oregon locale which I "moved" to the Wisconsin area because I wanted to feature the Milwaukee and not the SP. It's generic enough so I could vary the equipment and it would still look good such as SP, Soo, C&NW etc.

Had a thought and moved the layout closer to eye level substituting for a shelf over the workbench. Took advantage of some warmer temperatures and completed the last of the earth painting.  Also extended the sky blue color on the wall so it wouldn't look so stark. Currently working getting the building lighting operational.

Got some more incremental scenery done with the  completion of the ballasting and soil, weeds and static grass applications. Working on adding bushes , and heavy brush before getting into tree making.

Continuing to add details and scenery refinements like weathering pavement and shoulder gravel. Been following the " a tree a night" mantra as these larger  Woodland Scenics- Supertrees combinations do take at least a day per step. Still more trees to add for this scene.

Other than putting water in the creek and doing the final wiring hookups work here is about complete. Still need to repaint the fascia and get some weathering on the equipment.
