Been using Radio Shack submini switches on spring loaded Peco turnouts for a couple of decades.  No issues and in theory they should work on Atlas.  Throw is slightly long.

If the switch throw is a bit too long then  @Lemosteam solution on his was to form the throw-rod between the throwbar and switch slider into a simple Z-shaped spring.  That will allow the electrical switch to be completely thrown in both directions, while reducing the strain on the turnout's throwbar.  I thought that was a very neat solution.

@peteski , aye, but i must mention that the switch I link to was measured for travel and it matches almost exactly what Atlas told me at the time was their point throw dimension, so on all of my own installs of the switch the wire can be straight and the force to keep the points closed is perfect IMHO.

The diameter of the hole in the Peco throwbar is larger than the piano wire throw-rod.  This hole and the bend up into it provide the slop needed.  For a non-spring loaded turnout brand a Z in the throw would also give you a place to make the fine length adjustments needed to get it to work properly.
