Weekend Update 9/27/20

Not too long ago, I had a great view out my office window when they tore down about a dozen 5 story brick apartment buildings built in the 1950's.  They had two of those rotorchoppers like devices set up to deal with the debris.  A front end loader dropped stuff into the bin for the first one which did some sort of rough cut, dumping the results out on a convey belt.  About a dozen people sorted this debris before it went to a 2nd unit that did the fine chopping.  It looked like they were sorting out usable bricks along with several other piles.  Guess I should have taken photos.

Thanks Doug!  I thought they were long discontinued, so I didn't even bother looking there.  I looked on eBay and fond none.  Jerry and I have a barter thing going, so I'm all set.

GHQ used to make a John Deere tractor that looked similar, with the row crop wheels, and that has been discontinued for a while.

But, I took a quick look at that online auction site and than buzzed over to GHQ .   They had a "M" type. Tractor with the large rear wheels and narrow front ones.  As was pictured in the post..  An it appeared to be still available...  So, I got two since Peteski said he was looking for one as well.   If I decide I need another one I will know where to go...

Sounds like you’re describing what’s known as a Tub Grinder... commonly used to reduce demolition debris to smaller size for disposal at a construction and demolition debris landfill.
