Some of the roadnames announced are foobies though.

CP and CSX car numbers listed and shown are NSCs. BNSF number series are Trinitys.

Marketing photo of the CN/DWC cars uses a Trinity version, but they did have Gundersons in the number range used. Although there's a minor detail difference in that unusually the DWCs don't have the wider post at the bolsters.

I did a little digging on 60' rib-side, double plug door box cars and came up with the following builders/schemes.  TBOX has the largest fleet, by far, but there are several schemes that can be done with the old LBF tooling that would pass muster for most modellers.  As far as I can tell, only TBOX has any significant fleet of cross rib cars, but it is a large fleet.  (All the links are to RailcarPhotos - login required... sorry.)

Just that they supposedly have the tooling.   Although, I also recall hearing it was broken.   

To be clear, I agree with you.   If we can have three manufacturers making PS-1s and GG-1s and 53ft containers we can have three manufacturers making 60ft modern boxcars.  They'll sell.

  IM does not make a 60' box car (yet), but I'm guessing you're referring to the old Red Caboose 62' car which they now manufacture on RC's behalf.  Most, if not all, of the schemes they offered are prototypical.

But back to the TBOXs, between these cars and the BNSF icicle reefers it's hard to imagine a more needed modern piece of general freight rolling stock in N. Both would seem a good fit for the MTL business model - a dominant road name with options for others (except the BNSF reefer) plus a really good canvas for weathered and graffiti releases. How about it @Shipsure ??? TBOX runner packs are the new Railbox runner packs

“The undec model is of a Gunderson-Concarril 7550 cf double plug box car. This version (with eaves) was first built 4=9/03 for TBOX 660000-660499. Gunderson-Concarril built an earlier version without eaves and with 8 side posts on each side of the door, plus a few other differences from the model.

The version with eaves (Walthers version) were built for:
AOK 112000-112149 (150) 11/03=1/04
TBOX 660000-660499 (500) 4=9/03
TBOX 660500-660799 (300) 1=4/04
TBOX 660800-661199 (400) 1=5/05

Now, looking at the cars they've shown on their web site. Most are NOT Gunderson-Concarril cars...
