A follow-up: I decided to send my old battered Badger in for the warranty. It was a wreck -- They wound up replacing everything except the body and the button trigger. Total cost for parts: $10.80!!! With the $12 for S&H I'd say that was a deal since I basically got a brand-new airbrush. With a fine point nozzle too. And ouch! those needle point rods that control paint flow are SHARP! Ouch!

Yes, they are very sharp.    I prefer using the medium tip for general model painting. I think they call it "Illustrator" or "IL" type.

This is why I am a Badger fanboy. I'm sure Paasche and Iwata are great brushes, but Badger will always go the extra mile.

Here are my brushes:


Typical painting setup. All brushes have a quick release valve.


Omni Vega left and a 360 right. I use the Omni only for very fine weathering and dye.


155 Anthem. This is my general purpose brush. I use it for larger projects such as painting multiple models or a large shell that would empty out the cup on the 360.


My 200 does not get much use these days.


The 350 is cheap, but works well. I think I bought this for under $18, which is even cheaper than the Chinese imitations. This is a great brush for scenery work as there is very little cleanup needed. Spray pattern is nice and wide but still controllable.


And finally the Badger 250. I buy these in bulk from the Badger garage sale for about $5 each. The larger version is great for applying bulk color to a layout such as earth, concrete or pavement. I also use these to spray ballast wetting agent, diluted matte medium, and other adhesives.
