"Also, details about the #10. I happen to know someone who models the connecting line..."

Bachmann GE44T (PRR - sorry).  Jeff Gowers repaint and decal.

Ahh! Do you know where he got the decals?

Also, you're modeling the STRT. I wouldn't say you should ballast, I'd say you need to bury the track and cover it in dirt!

Ed- He printed the Stewartstown decals up.  Agree that planting the rail in mud would be the current state.  Need to be figure out what I want to do on the Stewartstown branch.

Ahh, cool. I have a 44 tonner that might need that same treatment.

We had our second operating session in two weeks last night.  Unlike the previous session (which occurred less than 24 hours after getting the lower-deck mainline operational), this time I had sufficient time to properly stage trains and get power consisted.  Here is the crew:

Back (l-r): Brian Dobbin and yours truly.
Front (l-r): Bill Dixon, John Green and Timothy Horton (BCR 750)

Aside from the camaraderie, one highlight for me was the first appearance of JB Hunt cans on the Loop:

:)  More details are posted in the TBC Engineering thread.

Spent most of the weekend rail-fanning on-line. YOU TUBE - Ray Smith UP Evanston, WY Division is
excellent, also our boy with the amazing Tehachapi Loop. https://www.facebook.com/NScaleTehachapiPass/

New Power arrives at Oakville:

Locos have been decodered and tested - looks like FVM got their QC act together, these six run very nearly alike - and beautifully!

Now it's time for details, then into service...

Spent quite a bit of time working on wagons and vehicles for my Royal American Shows carnival train.  Some of these are complete while others are in progress.  Getting there......

I've spent the last few days working on an interface between the Grade Crossing Pros and JMRI so that a train approaching or waiting at a red signal won't trigger the gates even though it's occupying the "far" sensing section.

They get sent to time out and to pee in a cup.

There's still a "near" sensing section that's always active, so the gates would eventually go down, albeit later than usual.

I just received my three UP units.  No BNSF.  I agree with you about the QC.  Mine all run great and at the same speed.  Plus, they look awesome as usual for FVM.

Hmm... I thought they
got killed...

Two scientists create a teleportation ray, and they try it out on a cricket. They put the cricket on one of the two teleportation pads in the room, and they turn the ray on.
The cricket jumps across the room onto the other pad.
