Rod, that's wonderful, and even more wonderful to have a friend like you. :)
Come to think of it, I'll be needing a roundhouse for SanBdno soon, and it's a much smaller footprint (but 35 stalls) :D

I think that's the roundhouse and bridge that Jim Kelly did in I think a 1989 MR, I remember his bridge scratch build article I still have the issue I think.

Davidgray1974:

I personally think your plan to cover this riverbed with olive- or tan-tinted Magic Water will work just fine.

Many of the smaller river and stream bottoms here in the East develop a green algae coating as the summer wears on. This tint is just visible through the brownish water...

BTW  --  your work is superb, in my opinion.

Regards,  Harry

I agree, the Ohio river gets a greenish tint to it because of the dirt suspended in the water after a rain. One small creek that runs near my grandparents home had a orange / rust color to it, because of the minerals in the water. I think once you've added the actual resin water to the river bed, it will resemble a lot of creeks and streams in the Allegheny / Appalachian mountain region.

Thanks, I have plans and that article also. What I don't have is the wherewithal to get started on such a big project

Those look to be H0 if that makes any difference.  Not that there is anything wrong with that.  :D

Who remembers these?

(edit for link)

Talking the model scene you built or the 1:1 edition? Rode those for 20 years. Crews called then tin cans.  Nice to see you posting here again. How goes the O scale world?
