On my Unitrack I remove the metal piece from the joiner and solder the feeder to the bottom of the piece then put it back in the joiner. I use bell wire for my feeders. If you use a small phillips screw driver or other pointed object the metal piece will come out easily. I have the Weller Soldering station and it works fine for my needs.
