The good people at Atlas have released these photos and I "plucked" them from Credit Valley RR's FB site.... looking good!

Looks to be CP and QC cars in a future release judging from the HO version. Too late for 1973, but perfect for me.

These look nice.  I had to stare for a few minutes to spot the differences: I came up with an extra rib on the end and a different style of door stop (as well as the draft gear).  Impressive that Atlas would go to such lengths!

Sorry Dave, I guess I missed that. The cars are pretty darn similar, and cushioned underframe on one and rigid on the other is appropriate, so it's an easy mistake to make I guess.

I'm excited about the possibility that Atlas may have tooled up two (interchangeable) coupler pockets - one for the extended (cushion) and one for "regular" couplers.
