Just wanted to mention how impressed I was with some of the shots/layouts in this years MRP (my first in a few years).

Cliff Powers layout is utterly brilliant to look at.

Great idea articles on the POST plant and the "4x8" Alice Street Yard.

James McNab, whose layout is one of the best looking "Modern Era" looks I've ever seen, nailing so many things so well.

And I really loved Jason Klocke's work, really well done branchline, with some of the best "unloved" looking trackwork I've seen.

Really impressive work by the other authors as well.

Have to say, it was a well-worth-it purchase, and I still say there are far more Gread Model Railroads in Model Railroad Planning than there usually is in Great Model Railroads, lol!

I wish Tony Koester would get Kalmbach to do a "Great Model Railroads of MRP" occasiinal series.

I'd like to see a full overview of some of the layouts we only see certain aspects of in MRP, like Jason Klocke's, or updates on past layouts, such as Joe Atkinson's.

Well, I know what the Klocke layout is.  I may have to pick up a copy.
